In the heart of downtown Toronto, CDE 2018 will be taking place at the Sheraton Hotel – minutes away from Toronto City Hall, the Eaton Center and Ryerson University. Delegates will be staying at the Sheraton for the nights of Nov. 9, 10, and 11. Sessions on Friday and Saturday will take place in the hotel’s breakout rooms.
The Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS) is a hotbed of leading-edge applied education and research. With close to 4,000 undergraduate students enrolled in nine undergraduate programs, nearly 900 graduate students in eight master’s and five doctoral programs, over 150 faculty members.
Sessions on Sunday Nov. 11th will take place at the George Vari Engineering and Computing Centre
Globe and Mail Centre
Located in the King East Design District just minutes from the downtown core, The Globe and Mail Centre offers elegant spaces with panoramic city and lake views from the top floors of the headquarters of Canada’s leading news organization. This is where our Gala will take place on Nov. 10th. Enjoy an amazing view of the Toronto city skyline!
Royal Ontario Museum
The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is a museum of art, world culture and natural history in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is one of the largest museums in North America, and the largest in Canada. On Friday nights, the museum turns into a 19+ pseudo-club, with dance floors on every floor and live music! This is where our 19+ Friday social event will take place.
The Second City is an improvisational comedy enterprise, best known as the first ever on-going improvisational theater troupe based in Chicago. It also has programs that run out of Toronto and Los Angeles. The Second City Theatre opened on December 16, 1959, and has since become one of the most influential and prolific comedy theatres in the world. This is the alternative CDE Friday night social for folks underage.
